Olfactory (I)
____: sensory nerve responsible for vision.
Optic (II)
____:  motor nerve responsible for movements of the eyeballs aand uper eyelid. Also manages eyelid muscles and pupillary constriction.
Oculomotor (III)
____: motor nerve. Smallest of the cranial nerves and mediates the superior oblique muscle of the eye.
Trochlear (IV)
____: mixed nerve. Largest cranial nerve and is responsible for sensations of touch, pain and temperature. Also supplies muscles of mastication.
Trigeminal (V)
____: motor nerve responsible for abduction of the eyeball and mediates the lateral rectus muscle.
Abducens (VI)
____: mixed nerve that is responsible for taste from the anterior two-thirds of the tongue as well as facial expression.
Facial (VII)
____: sensory nerve responsible for equlibrium and hearing.
Vestibulocochlear (VIII)
____: mixed nerve responsible for taste from the posterior one-third of the tongue and release saliva. Also mediates baroreceptors and chemoreceptors.
Glossopharyngeal (IX)
____: mixed nerve responsible for visceral sensations, mediation of baro- and chemoreceptors, and supplies muscles of the pharynx, laryns, and soft palate that are involved in swallowing and vocalization.
Vagus (X)
____: motor nerve that innervates the sternocleidomastoid and tapezius muscles to coordinate head movements.
Accessory (XI)
____: motor nerve responsible for speech and swallowing.
Hypoglossal (XII)
