if IgM positive, f/u with serial u/s to catch hydrops fetalis
epidemiology

symptoms
Headache, pharyngitis, coryza, myalgia, arthritis, and GI disturbances are more frequent and severe in adults (nonspecific flulike illness).
Pruritus (especially soles of feet) and mild arthralgia may occur.

first fever then rash
Onset of rash is first noted on the face (“slapped-cheek appearance”).
