Aborted Engine Start
COND: On the ground, an aborted engine start is needed.
OBJ: To shut down the engine and motor it.
1)Engine Start Lever (aff) CUTOFF
Engine Limit or Surge or Stall
COND: One or more of these occur: eng indication abnormal, eng indication rapidly approaching or exceeding limits, abnormal engine noises are heard possibly with airframe vibrations, there isno response to thrust lever movement or abnormal response, flames in the engine inlet or exhaust are reported
OBJ: to attempt to recover normal engine operation or shut down the engine if recovery is not possible
1) AT if eng DISENGAGE
2)thrust lever aff CONFIRM RETARD until engine indications stay within limits or the thrust lever is closed
Airspeed unreliable
COND: airspeed or mach indications are suspected to be unreliable
OBJ: to identiify a reliable airspeed indication if possible or continue the flight using the flight with unreliable airspeed table in the performance inflight chapter
1)AP if eng DISENGAGE
2)AT if eng DISENGAGE
3)F/D switched both OFF
4)set following pitch + thrust:
flaps ext N1 80 up 10
flaps up N1 75 up 4
APU FIRE
COND: fire is detected in the APU
1)APU fire switch CONFIRM rotate + stop hold 1 sec
2)APU switch OFF
CABIN alt Warning or Rapid Depressurization
COND: one of more of these occur. Cabin alt exceedance. Inflight the warning for cabin alt config sounds or cabin alt light illuminates.
1)Don Ox Mask 100%
2)establish crew comm
3)press mode select MAN
4)If uncontrollable: 5)PASS SIGN ON 6)PASS OXY ON and go to EMERG descent checklist
Emergency Descent
COND: one of more of these occur: cabin altitute cannot be controlled and or a rapid descent is needed
1)Announce descent (PF PA, PM ATC QNH)
2)Pass sign ON
3)WITHOUT DELAY descent to 10k or lowest safe
4)eng start switches CONT
5)thrust levers reduce to minimum or as needed for anti ice
6)speedbreak FLIGHT DETENT
7)set speed VMO/MMO (unless structural damage is in doubt)
ENGINE FIRE or ENG sev damage or ENG separation
COND: one of more of these occur, eng fire warning, airframe vibration with abnormal eng indications, eng separation
1)AT if eng DISENGAGE
2)Thrust lever affected eng CONFIRM CLOSE
3)Engine start lever affected engine CONFIRM CUTOFF
4)Engine Fire switch affected engine CONFIRM PULL (to manually unlock press override and pull)
5)If the eng fire switch OR eng OVHT light is ILLUMINATED: rotate to stop and hold 1 sec
if after 30 sec light still on
rotate to other side 1 second
Engine OVHT
COND: An overheat is detected in the engine
1)AT if engaged DISENGAGE
2)thrust lever affected engine CONFIRM CLOSE
3)if ENG OVHT lights stays illuminated goto ENG FIRE checklist
LOSS OF THRUST BOTH ENGINES
COND: BOTH of these occur, both engine have loss of thrust and both ENG FAIL alerts shows
OBJ: To restart at least one engine
1)ENGINE start switches FLT
2)ENGINE start levers CUTOFF
when EGT decreases
3)ENG start levers IDLE DETENT
4)if no increase or exceeds 950C within 30 seconds
Engine start lever affected engine CUTOFF, THEN IDLE DETENT

5)IF no increase in EGT or exceeds 950 REPEAT AS NEEDED
RUNAWAY STABILIZER
COND: Uncommanded stabilizer trim movement occurs continuously
1)Control column HOLD FIRMLY
2)AP if eng DISENGAGE (do not reengage)
3)AT if eng DISENGAGE (do not reengage)
4)If the runway stops after the autopilot is disengaged END OF CHECKLIST
5)If the runaway continues after the autopilot is disengaged:
STAB TRIM CUTOUT switched BOTH CUTOUT
if the runaway continues STABILIZER TRIM WHEEL GRASP AND HOLD
